ESSENTIAL TRAINING
ESSENTIALS - Fundamental Knowledge and Technique

This course takes place in an open water environment and is the ideal starting point for any ambitious scuba diver interested in cave or mixed gas diving. We will strengthen your fundamental knowledge and hone your ability in the handling of equipment, communication, locomotion, emergency situations, reel and lift bag use, and Nitrox.

Get the basic knowledge and security you need to start Tec Diving.

8 Hours of theory
Minimum 4 dives

LIMITS:
40 meters max depth (adjusted to certification level)

We use the following techniques, which are not included in conventional diving certificates:

Student Pre-requisites

18 Years old and in good health

1. EQUIPMENT HANDLING:

The course can be performed in sidemount or back mount, but the diver must possess adequate ability in their chosen configuration prior to the training. We’ll go into detail about the Tec configuration and help adjust and modify equipment for optimal use.

2. LOCOMOTION TECNIQUES

Flutter Kick, Frog Kick, Shuffle Kick, Pull and Glide and Back Kick

3. COMMUNICATION:

Hand signals, light signals, and touch-contact

4. REEL AND LIFT BAG:

Practice proper handling of reels, spools, and lift bags

5. EMERGENCY SITUATIONS:

Correctly reacting and avoiding panic is the cornerstone to bringing critical situations under control. You will practice until it is second nature.

6.Nitrox

Understand Nitrox and its handling

7. NEW ENVIRONMENTS:

A theoretical introduction to overhead environments: caverns and wrecks.
