Dive Master

IANTD training is one of the most intense programs because of the combination of sport and technical diving. This is your beginning as a dive professional. You’ll assist with lessons, efficiently plan activities, learn boat protocols and rescue skills.

Student Pre-requisites

18 Years old
IANTD Rescue Diver or equivalent
First aid certification of a recognized aid organization, such as Red Cross ect. (Not older than 2 years) with cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate
Oxygen Provider (handling oxygen breathing devices) certificate
60 Logged dives

Course Layout:

Theory
Land Drills
Confined and Open Water Training
Final Exam

Duration:

No time limit (depending on the instructor)
12 Hours theory
At least 2 IANTD courses must be assisted (depending on the instructor)

Limits:

Maximum depth 39 m / (130 ft)
Maximum oxygen partial pressure of 1.4 ATA at depth
Maximum oxygen partial pressure of 1.6 ATA for decompression
All dives are kept within the limits of the IANTD Oxygen CNS% Clock and OTU’s.
4 Students per instructor

Necessary Equipment:

Twin Tanks with manifold and isolator valve
2 Independent regulators, both with first and second stages
1 With long hose (2m/7ft.) and an LPI
1 With short hose (~55 cm/22 in.) and SPG
Buoyancy compensator (Wing & Back Plate)
Wetsuit
Mask and fins, no snorkel
Line cutter
1 Reel with a minimum of 40m of line
Dive computer, or timer and depth gauge
Writing board or wet notes
Waterproof diving table or backup dive computer
2 Directional arrows
Compass
